Juanita's Beauty Shoppe
Juanita Escobedo immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico with her mother Higinia. After being refused service at a local salon, she opened her first beauty shop in the family home in 1931. She later married Joaquin de la Peña. She, Higinia, and her children Robert and Marguerite are pictured here.
